Longevity has decided to change our welding product colors from Blue to Black. This change comes with respect to Miller and because Longevity is taking the next step into product recognition. We hope that one day the black case color will be as recognized with Longevity as blue is with Miller in regards to welding equipment.

The Longevity Team and our customers believe that the black color change to our welding equipment, tools, and supplies will be accepted by most welders. The paint of the new case color are in production and will be available shortly and the patent for the black color is already in progress by our legal team. We are also applying for patents on the latest improvements and designs simultaneously.

We hope you guys find our new color suitable.

Best

It looks like nobody is going to say anything so here goes.

Changing the color in deference to Miller is a laudable thing. And I like the black color and the two handles on top and as far as the way it looks, to me, it looks as good as any of them from the outside. If the inside is as good as the outside then you should have no trouble selling them, in my opinion.

6010,

Thanks for your comments. I personally like the color and the units are performing as we expected. We will be featuring the IGBT 60amp cutter with a super low price here shortly along with some videos of the Pilot Arc technology and operation.

If you wish to suggest any product improvement or modification cosmetically, please feel free to PM us.

Thanks,

Longevity

I will be anxious to see it when it come out. I don't know if any of the other welders are using IGBT technology or not, but it has been around in high end AC drives since the early 1980's. They were not that reliable to start with but early on they found the problems, changed the design, and now they are very reliable. I don't know what they had in mind for the device when they first came out, but their fast switching speed and high current capabilities made them ideal components in the AC drives. Your machines should be very reliable. I guess we will find out pretty soon.

MB_ Welder and 6010

Thanks for the positive comments. We will start selling the welders with the new color shortly. Currently, we are still selling our blue cases. I personally used the IGBT machines several times before our full launch of the IGBT lineup and now that they are again in stock. The units are built for more industrial applications and can handle more strenuous use.

I believe our customers will be happy. We are not leaving MOSFET designs all together as we will continue carrying small MOSFET units such as our low amp 40/50amp plasma cutters, etc... Those units rarely give us any issues plus we want to keep consumer cost low.

As mentioned before, we are offering the IGBT and MOSFET units for a very low price soon as we upload the content to the website. If you guys want to try the units, please PM me and I will be more than happy to offer the special pricing right away.

Best,

Longevity

I personally think a move to Black is good. I do like blue as a color but if it is confusing with those Miller folks let's change. I have a Longevity 200P and am very happy with it. Most likely when a "blue" unit works well they think it's a Miller (even when it's a good Longevity). So a unique color is good I think...

Simon

I forgot to ask if I am getting the black color or blue?

Hi Ron,

I would like to thank you for the purchase. Your unit will actually still come in the blue color as we have a few more units in that color. All units currently in production for future sales will come in the new black casing color design which is highly anticipated.

If you really need a black color case, we can always swap it in the future.

Thanks again,

Simon
