What does it take to get on a pipeline???

Ok how and where does i fella get on a pipeline. Im 21 years old and have been building pressure vessels for almost 2 years but been welding for a living about five years. i am rigged up but from what i have heard i think i wanna get on a pipeline as a helper to learn the tricks of the trade before hiring on as a welder. if anyone has any info that would help out alot and would be greatly appreciated. thanks

You'll get more answers than you'll probably want.

Lots of pipe guys there. Pretty much 2/3'rds of the site, mostly petroleum products & gas pipe liners. (rough guess)

You'll find the answers from real world guys doing it every day there.
