Slag Master

I've been "what most of you wouldn't call" welding off and on for a while. Most of it's just fabbing a quick stand for painting something or a quick fix of a tool. It's time I learn the basics and learn how to do something more then slag to pieces of metal together. I have a CH Mig/Flux 105 that I plan on getting the gas bottle for soon. So I'm doing just wire feed for now. Any suggestion on what and how is the best way to practice would be helpful.
