K guys im i pretty big fan of miller stuff i have a mm210 and spoolgun. I love them. (blue is so pretty) Im looking to get a tig machine like the 180sd but it looks like the lincoln 185 in the same range is more versatile for similar money. Turns down lower and up higher in the amperage and has a pulser too. I am leaning toward the lincoln now.......even though its the wrong color  . But when i was at my local dealer this week he let it slip that miller might be coming out with a new machine in this range. He told me that that lincolns are way outselling the millers at this level......anyone hear of a new machine in the 180sd category or is this a myth?? He said it could be a week or a year till the debut though, theres no way to tell. Looking to buy something at SEMA in November in Las Vegas.

In the software industry, this kind of claim is generally referred to as "vapor ware." The point is to keep folks from buying a competitor. Companies drop hints about what they are doing (true or not) just to get you looking toward the next thing and to make you want to wait, rather than switch brands. Microsoft is infamous for their "vapor products." A lot of my stuff is miller. They have good products, but so does lincoln...so to many other companies. If you need it now, buy the product that best suits your needs and budget. If you can wait, there will always be something better just over the horizion.
