Looks like it will last a lifetime. Nice work.
What is the weight empty? 110 or 220vac?

Does not look low cost, but looks touch as nails and pretty retro.
Maybe add a 110 vac single outlet to the back of the welder or a 220vac box on the cooler?
Keep us posted on what the final combo (welder, cooler, cart) turn out like. I really like the aluminum but not cheap.
How much do you have in parts if ok to ask? The same thing with a plastic tank would cost less but would not have been as much fun to build or look that slick.

Brit,
If you still need the coupling piece that you need, its still available.
Do you have any idea of the gallon capacity of the machine? It looks good.
I assume that the tank circulates water from one side to the other and through the fins with a divider in the middle of the tank. Other wise, I don't see how it will cool without a way to force water through the radiator. Usually the intake is on the low side of the radiator.

The pump pulls from the bottom and pushes out the top into the radiator right? The warmer coolant/water will stay at the top of the tank. At least that is the way I would do it.
The aluminum tank will help cool things as well.

the alum part costed 30 and the pump costed 24 but the fan was free the dinse coupler will be about 35 so thats cheaper and lighter than a bernard which costs ab out 600

its 2.8 gallons with a 256 gph pump so it should keep every thing cool

i built a 3 gallon (+/-) alum tank with a good radiator. ( no pics yet)
i have a fan for it, but it never gets warm, far less hot.
Id need a transformer to work the 12Volt fan so i havnt bothered yet.
having said that i havnt run it over 200A for any length of time.

gordfraser,
The air cooled torches we sell can handle 160 amps. Add water and radiator, 200 amps are not a problem.
I can send you a 110volt AC fan, but I doubt you will need it

Let me find one here or the office. I know we had some around. I will see what the cost is to ship it. You are in the US right?
