I found this site with a link posted on the Corvette Forum. I have been into building and modifying cars and more specifically Corvettes most all of my life. I am currently building a 78 Vette with a Gen V Big Block. Here is my website showing my project: http://www.bigdogvettes.com
I had worked in a local shipyard during the 1970s and one of my many jobs there was welding on tugboats and barges. I have no formal training in welding, but did spend about 8 years of making my living at welding.
On my Corvette project, I have the body off the frame right now and am beefing up the strength of the frame by adding gussets and completing the seem welds along the frame rails.
I hope to learn a lot about welding the correct way here on this site. :cool:
