Fellow Members,
I just want to introduce myself. My name is James Hawks, I live in south central KY. I have been welding since 1978. I am certified in high pressure steam, gas piping. (Stick & Tig) I work mainly for mechanical contractors in the eastern US. I do some structral welding but not much. I have my own shop that I work out of. My personal rig is a 302G TrailBlaser with a 2050 plasma, Imglo 5.5hp compresser, 12VS feeder, ConCo torches, Metabo & Milwalkee grinders.
My wife is my office assitant on the job, my oldest son works for FDA in North Platte Neb. My youngest son is in the 798 working in Meeker CO for US Pipeline. He should be finished around Christmas.
I have been put in a supervisor role for the last 6-7 years. The only thing I enjoy about this is working with the new welders coming up.
The current job I am on consists of about 145,000 ft of stainless pipe from 1/2" up to 18" and about 1,600 ft of 16" carbon and about 1,000ft of 2" aluminum pipe. I have been here about 16 months and should finish by the last of Feb.
Our next job will probley be in Georgia or North Carolina

Great to have ya! There are lots of folks here that are interested in stainless, so you might get a chance to provide input on lots of questions. Have fun and post often.
