well it came in last nigth:) now i have to get a stinger tig torch and foot amptrol
and a tank of argon:rolleyes: i wish it came ready to weld but i can see why it dont im thinking on getting a weldcraft wp-17 for my tig torch because i have a wp-26 at my dads house with lots of collits and the parts interchange between
them and i use a wp-17 at work for a stinger im going to try to get one from the store to day and some stick so i can play:cool2:

bummer...see ive always got a stinger layin around. no tig torch...but a stinger would suffice for finding out atleast solme of machines capabilties. :) it does pay to have a bobus layin around some times :D

ok to day i got some 3/32 6011 rod and a stinger from work ran some test beeds
now i dont get to stick weld that much any more and i like to run hot:) so i turned her up to 117 amp and found to two things right off the bat one is that 117 amp for 3/32 rod is way to hot:laugh: and the breakers in my shop wont hold:nono: so after resetting the welder to 91 amp and resetting the breaker
still to hot and yes the breaker went out to ok take three set the machine to 67 amp and reset the breaker YEA! we got weld:blob1:  run real good later this week ill get new breakers and my owne stinger and more time to play and well see if i can still stick weld:laugh:

I use the same machine, just on the miller side. You have to run that baby on 20 amp circuits, not 15's. I ran in to the same problem, I tried to get away with it but no matter what I had the machine set at it will trip a 15 amp breaker. Good Luck

lol chuck, 3/16 6011? what thickness plate? they look like youre running stringers....maybe a lil more heat and pause a littke longer, just a pinch. but they look pretty good. practice practice :D

That seems like a pretty low setting for 3/16. Maybe a typo? And isn't6011 an a/c rod? I'd turn it up a bit.

6011 is both ac and dc. I dont know of any rod thats only ac. They will all run better on dc

im hoping its a typo and if it is, or just a misunderstanding of what he intended to say was the plate is 3/16 but i want know what dia rod it is. also, 6011 is tough to make look good.....takes lots of practice with that rod just to make it pretty its lookin good as far as im concerrned

3/8 plate and 3/16 is a type-o i ment 3/32 i cant even get the size right:laugh:
but if i can run vert up with .045 wire then i should beable to relearn to stick:laugh:
