I am considering purchasing a Powertig250ex but I would like to know what type of connectors it has for the work and electrode cables? Also can another brand tig torch (weldcraft) be connected to the remote without any issue? Thanks.

From the looks of pix I have seen, probably standard Dinse 50MM. You can buy 'em on ebay cheaper than most places.
Couldn't tell you much on the remote end of it tho.

DINSE connectors.
You can purchase those locally and a weldcraft torch will be able to interchange providing you purchase the correct DINSE style connector, which are available through companies like Lenco, at a economical price.
As far as the remote switch on the torch, you can adapt it to our pin connector which is available at any good electronics store, or purchase a connector from us. Its a panasonic plug, 7 pin.
What is the pin-out for the 7 pin connector? Is it the common 7 pin connector used on Chiry, Mitech, etc?
I would like to use my existing pedal that has a 7 pin on it already. I need the pin-out so I can match up to mine.
Mine has:
2 pins for the on/off switch
3 pins for the potentiometer (4.7K ohms)
2 pins that are jumpered (so that the machine lets the pedal take over the main panel pot).
Are the DINSE connectors 50?

Yes, to the DINSE question.
The pinout is available here: http://www.everlastgenerators.com/forums/showthread.php?t=168. I don't know if the plug is the same, but it could be adapted from the one supplied with the foot pedal. I do know it is listed in my information as a panasonic 7 pin connector.
