Powermax 1000 Air Regulator Question

Still trying to make sense of a few things with this used pm 1000 I picked up. I have what I believe are two problems. Please let me know if I am right or not:

1. When the air flows through the torch, I feel air through the handle (and the nozzle too). I don't think I should be feeling it through the handle, correct?

2. The air pressure gauge (in the unlock position), seems quite difficult to turn. Seems to me it should be easily turnable with your fingers, and not have to really get a gorilla grip on it to turn it. Sound right?

Assuming the above are problems as I suspect they are, have any of you run into these issues? Possible fixes (especially for number 2). I assume if 1 is an issue, I can pull the handle apart and possibly find the problem. :help:

There is a small amount of air that flows through the back of the torch.....but excess flow could be caused by a missing or damaged oring that seals the retaining cap to the torch body. Check this oring and replace if needed.

The regulator should turn relatively easily.
