Hi.

I have a 3 phase ESAB CADDY PROFESSIONAL 250, 100 YEAR EDITION.

Without the 400 volt 3 phase power plug.

According to the circuit on page 7 in this LHN 250 ESAB CADDY PROFESSIONAL 250 manual the power plug needs to be connected to L1, L2 and L3.
http://www.welding.org.uk/esabmanuals/Instruction%20Manuals/LHN%20250,%20Caddy%20Professional%20250.pdf

The power cord has a brown, black, gray and a green/yellow wire.
Which is the L1 and which is the l2 and which is the L3 ?

Is opening the esab the way to find the answer ?
Or does opening it give no useful information in this case ?

Thanks.

Vroemm.

This page has a nice color code chart:
