Trade Plasma for a good MIG welder

I upgraded to an Esab Powercut 1500 and no longer have a need for my first plasma cutter. It is a Thermal Dynamics PakMaster 50 that is in great shape. The case is very clean, and it cuts very nicely. The only issue is the end of the handle is cracked, but it does not affect the functionality in the least. It is a $15 plastic part that slides on, so it would be easy and inexpensive to replace if you wanted to.

I am looking for a 200 - 250 amp good quality MIG welder. Would prefer a Miller or Esab, but willing to consider whatever you have.

I'm located near Atlanta.

Just for kicks, what's your asking price?

I actually hadn't thought about an asking price, need a better mig welder. All I have is an old "Silver Beauty 175" that was marketted to body shops. It is rather fussy to get welding nice, and has very little duty cycle. I guess would probably take $800 for it...

That's a fair price. I was asking because I have a friend who used mine installing a sun roof in his VW and now he was looking to buy one. I will pass the info on and see what he thinks. Maybe we can make a quick trip up and see you in your "prospective" new shop.
