Dear Fellow Members,
'WeldShop' is a small software which provides welding guidelines for Process Piping in Petrochemical Industry. In the initial first release, welding procedure guidelines are given only for carbon and low alloy steels piping.
The salient features are:
1. Simple, classic & user friendly interface
2. Welding procedures for materials in P.No.1 to P.No.5
3. Enlists all basic applicable welding requirements:
- Preheat temperature (min.)
- Filler wire
- Electrode
- Interpass temperature (min.)
- Post Weld Heat Treatment
4. Welding of dissimilar materials also in P.No.1 to P.No.5.
5. In compliance with ASME B31.3 - Process Piping
6. Only three inputs required - Material1, Material2, Thickness
7. No specific technical inputs asked from user
8. Free for everybody
The intent of its launch is to provide a quick reference to Project and Inspection Engineers on welding. Engineers belonging to other disciplines like Process, Machinery, Electrical & Instrumentation can also get some benefit if to look after any welding job sometime.
