Was searching for a rolling standoff guide for my powermax 30. Did not find a particular one for it, but a website said the miller one would fit. Is that true?

A rolling standoff guide? As in a ring around the plastic housing of the gun & a bearing to roll on the metal being cut?

I can make one. I'm in the process of building a few circle cutting guides for plasma cutters. I'll post up a finished picture of the one's I am making this weekend.

Here's the prototype: http://weldingweb.com/showthread.php?t=44115

The kind that has a wheel on each side of the gun to roll a straight line. I'd love to see what you come up with mark!

Hypertherm has an available cutting guide kit that has circle cutting and wheel type guides. The Powermax30 is designed so that you can drag cut with it.....use any kind of a straight edge and just rest the torch nozzle against it and drag the torch. The more often you use it this way the better you get with matching the right speed, torch angle, etc. I have tried all of the various circle attachments, guides, etc.....and I prefer to just lay the front of the torch right on the plate.....with a straightedge or template as a guide.

A lot of plasma torches have a "stiction" effect (nozzle or tip sticks to the plate causing rough cutting action), however Hypertherm engineers have eliminated that issue with its hand torches. All of the Hypertherm hand torch up through 200 Amps are designed for easy drag cutting and can be used with metallic or non metalic templates or guides.
