What is the plug style for the powermax line?
I am just curious if I could plug it in with the same plug as my miller welder.

hmmm let me think a bit....
I looked on Miller's website and could not find the Model "My Miller Welder"
:dizzy::dizzy:
but I did find the manual for the Powermax 85 on line.
...To operate your Powermax85 on 1-phase power, you will need to install an appropriate power
cord. Refer to “Single-phase power cord installation” on page 2-10 for instructions.

Did you look at the Specs on the 85?

Yes, I got the brochure but it only says required amps and voltages.

You can go to Hypertherm, Click on the 85 and then there is a Literature button for the manual.
If I read it correctly you'll have to replace the power cord also for 1-Phase.
It doesn't come with any Plug since it can be run on 1 or 3 Phase

Did Pyro buy "another welder"?
Last time he posted he had a DVI.
Most of the Miller 220/240V welders, that come with a plug, come with the 6-50P.
I installed the 6-50P on my PM 1250 since I run the machine on 1 Phase.

The Powermax85 will operate on any voltage between 200 VAC and 600 VAC, single or three phase. Because of that....the style of the plug will be determined by your local electrical power (voltage and phase) as well as the specifications that the Powermax85 needs (as listed in the operators manual, the brochure, and on the units data tag) under your particular voltage conditions......also, you should follow the rules of local electrical code. If you could tell me what voltage, is it sngle or 3 phase, and the amperage rating of the circuit, I would be happy to look up the details needed to determing what plug may be used.
