I run a Miller on my truck. I don't know if it's any better than a red welder necessarily it's just the brand that the local shops sell. I figure if I need support down the road it will be easier that way.

I am a Lincoln fan but I just picked up a Big Blue 502D and have to admit that it has as stable of an arc as any of the SA 200's that I have owned.

I have a TB 301 on the truck, and an SA-250 on a trailer for the heavy stuff. I Like em' both. If I ever buy a new machine it will likely be a Vantage 500.

Had great success with the Lincoln Vantage 575, we had 4 guys welding off it at one time using Multi welds and it was just loving it.

Miller Roughneck 2E

Please dont laugh or snicker! For the projects and welding I need to do around the home, it more than gets the job done for what I need. And with the low rpm auxillary power output, it is a lot easier on the ears. I must admit though, I am more partial to Lincoln equipment.

Who's snickering? Those 2E's are great welders.

Yep, we do a bit of work in dry docks and they a perfect, one big power source up top and no AC power in the dry dock makes it a lot safer. We can only stick off them, it would be great if they could run Ln25's make it a lot faster.

Yeah they are. I really like mine. Had a Lincoln Ranger 8 also but even though it had more "bells and whistles" than the Roughneck, I used it less. When a friend needed a welder and made an attractive offer on the Ranger, it just "had" to go. The Roughneck justs seems to fit the bill for me in a portable engine drive. I can always borrow from the shop I work at if I need something different.

I have a Trailblazer 302. I really like it and I havn't had any problems with it. I'm thinking of upgrading to the new Miller pipe pro 350. Can't afford the upgrade price.
