Please inform me with thanks,
Can we weld black steel pipe (O.D. 42mm seamless schedule 40 DIN2448) to a steel plate (30 x 30 cm) with MIG (inert gas: Argon)? Is it acceptable or completely rejected.
As in the following diagram, The pipe shall support for a downward force about (98 N), creating a moment on the welding point about (30 N.m.).
Surrounding temperature: 20 to 50 Deg Celsius.

Can I weld the pipe to plate with Argon welding (which is more easier for me) or it's completely wrong ??

Thank & Best Regards

I'm Sorry For Confusion
It's Not Mig, It's Gtaw (and Filler Rod Is Stainless Steel)
Can It Be Accepted Or Completely Wrong ?

If your gonna GTAW (tig) it, sounds like to me you need to be using ER70S2.. That is if your talking about carbon steel pipe and plate.
I wouldent weld it with stainless wire unless it was ER309 and not in an industrial atmosphere...On the farm? Yes!!!!

Steel got it right. Argon with tig(GTAW) will be great. Use the ER70S wire. Good luck
