OK guys....here's a little "For your information" stuff from your
favorite undertaker. I've read some threads regarding different brands of wire....so here's my 2 cents worth.
I just put a new spool of Radnor E71T-GS (.030") in the
HH135....and I'll tell you this: It runs sweeter than any wire I have used so far ! (and i've tried 2 or 3 different ones).....
Radnor, evidently is a private brand of Airgas, but my welding guy told me it's made by Lincoln....(and it say's "made in USA") !
The bead is not quite as "shiny" as the stuff i got from Tri-Tech,
after you chip it, but I assume it's up to the standards for
E71T-GS. It sure welds nice !....No "snap, crackle, pop"......
just a nice, smooth "Hiss".
Good penetration & good appearance ! What more could
you ask for ! :)

if its made by Lincoln , its got to be good.

I read somewhere, that Lincoln made the best wire. Some independant guy, i use Lincoln wire and happy with it.

Thanks, Big Rig !.....I don't own any Lincoln equptment at the present time, but I believe that if one sticks with NAME-BRAND
stuff...(Miller, Lincoln, Hobart....) you can't go wrong !
I'm not brand-loyal....all my stuff is Miller/Hobart now,....
(and i'm very happy with it).......
but if I ever deceide I want a diesel....That Pipeliner 200d
will be mine !

Marko,

That's good to know. I've never used any other (yet). The first spool (10lb.) sort of gave me fits, but then the welder was brand new to me also. The second spool was like a brand new world. I actually went and cross checked the numbers to make sure it was the same wire. Maybe the first was a less quality run or something. I'm on the third spool and think it's great. If it can work for me it's gotta be fool proof.

GS is single pass wire.
