Could someone who knows more about computers than I explain how to take just the text from an E-mail and post it on a forum. I recieved a hilarious welder story, supposedly true, and I'd like to share it with the rest of you. I have it in "My Documents" but can't figure out how post just the story from the E-mail.
Thanks in advance,
Mike

Can't you just open the document on your computer and cut the text you wish to submit... paste it into the new thread window on the forum and hit submit?

In the email, highlight the text to copy...hold down ctrl+c for copy and come to the thread you want to post to, put your clicker into the text box and press ctrl+p for paste.
ctrl+c means to hold down the ctrl and c button down at the same time, by the way.

Control + p is for print, Control + v is to paste.

ooops! your are right, fwaz3. I forgot to look at where my fingers do the walking on the keyboard:blush2: . Thanks for the correction. He would have probably been thinking, "why the heck does copying and pasting waste so much paper???"

You can also do it with your mouse, at the beginning of your text you want click and hold the left button drag your cursor down the text to include what you want(it will highlight the text you have selected in blue) then let go of the button, now right click on the highlighted text and it will pull up a small window with options, select either cut or copy(copy will leave the original text there) then go to wherever you want to put it and right click, again a window will pop up and select paste.
I don't know if its easier or not, I just like to use the mouse more then the keyboard. Hope this is understandable:)
