View Full Version : A new moderator: TxRedneck
Bob at WeldingMag
04-21-2006, 04:21 PM
Friends,
I'm pleased to announce that we have added a new moderator at WeldingWeb. He's no stranger -- though he'd probably be the first to say he's strange. :D
Give a shoutout to TxRedneck, new moderator. But you can just call him Sir.
Tx has over 1,300 posts since joining the community in early 2005 -- so many, in fact, that you might ask what he actually does all day. He's got great insights and knowledge; he's one of the first people to welcome new members; and he's just been fun to have around.
In his role as a moderator, Tx joins Smithboy as an official presence to help manage threads, answer questions, resolve problems and pretty much anything else that we make up as we go along.
Don't hesitate to give him a warm howdy.

Y'all just got to continue to open up, ask questions, and dont be shy. There are no dumb or stupid questions.

Dangit, more moderators mean more supervision....how am I going to get away with my fiendish jokes now?
That rocks. Way to go TX!
Hey, I say someday we all get together in the middle of the country for a weekend barbeque and welding demonstration. We can invite all the competing manufacturers to demo their products to those who so feverishly support them. I don't want to go to a convention in LasVegas with a bunch of guys I never hear from. I want to hang out with all you retards! Let's set a date!
TxRedneck

lol Joker...sounds goood...as far as supervision and not telling your jokes...My supervision is to keep you inline and telling your fiendish jokes...if youre not telling jokes I figure youve gotten into real trouble:gunsfirin

Chris (TexRed), ............ Sorry, I just noticed that you were the new man in the HOT seat. I told you my eyesight was going. Congrats on the promotion. Does this position come with perks, such as free air fare to visit all the associates of this site? You know, you must strive to keep all associates HAPPY, it's good business. If it does, let me be the first to invite you to the northern west bank, to celebrate your promotion. I can see a party in the making.:D :D

I think you're on to something. Our hands are a little full at the moment to do anything official, but give us some time. And give us some suggestions on how much we'll neeed to pay in advance to local law enforcement, whereever this happens to occur.

Heath, it's a tactic. I remember from my school teaching days if there was a problem kid we'd make him a class captain or something like that. It worked a treat. They took to the position of perceived authority with enormous enthusiasm. Of course, sometimes that enthusiasm did tend to present itself as fascism. It made things interesting.

Same thing happens in my area with police and sheriff. All you need to have to become law enforcement is a problem with authority. Most of the cops where I grew up spent most of their time evading police when they were kids. :D

Yes, troubled kids make great cops - they know all the tricks.
Congradulations Tx. The time you spend in here helping us is greatly appreciated.
