-JS905- I do and it's great!! A rebadged 135. We built a deck using 2x2 steel last year in the heat of California summer ... never hit the duty cycle shut down. Best of the 110 volt IM(very)HO!!

This is the pic I meant to attach! The HD3200 is there and Weldgirl working upside down. No-one told her that it's hard to weld the bottom of the joins so she just did it!!!

I have very good experiences with reconditioned units, so look at this one for $436 with no sales tax: http://cgi.ebay.com/LINCOLN-SP135T-MIG-WELDER-REFURBISHED-120V-U1873-1_W0QQitemZ7613129381QQcategoryZ113743QQrdZ1QQcmdZ ViewItem

I also was very happy with a reconditioned Hobart HH135 that I bought from www.toolking.com for only $327 shipped.

I apologize for reviving a thread from the grave, but rather than making a new thread, I thought I'd point out that Home Depot has the 3200HD for $459, BUT they have also been sending out coupons for 20% off your purchase over $299 when you buy it using your Home Depot credit card.

That makes the welder $367.20 and interest free for 6 months! I think I'm going today to get it! :blob3:

98SS, where did you get that coupon? in the mail or newspaper? Been looking for one, can't seem to find one. thanks, Rik

It can't be beat if you can get it for the 20% off at HD. I used my friends last year and I loved it. I would buy TWO in a minute for $367/each. (My Dad would like one. Anyhow, moot, HD Canada has no such deal going.)

Anyway, don't neglect the HH140. It can sometimes be had on sale with free cart/shipping around the $450 mark.

Not to start any product flame war here :nono: but I was totally set on getting a HH140. However, the high price of it in Canada (vs. the Linc) and a couple of details about the Hobart innards turned me red :D

Got my 3200HD last Friday, got some practice welds in over the weekend, Not bad. I'm just used to my stick welder. Would it hurt the welds strength if I used a 12ga. 50' extension cord? thanks, Rik

You'll read different things about extension cords from different vendors.

You should be OK with that cord.

12 ga is a little small, but they have a 10 ga 50' cord at hd for $54

#12 is fine for a 120V welder. Their duty cycles will never heat that wire, even drawing 20-25A for as often as they are capable of it.

I have a lincoln pro mig 135 lowes special that I never use it has regulator and everything needed to weld. I have used it a total of 10 hours. It even works well on aluminum IMHO.
I also have a squarewave tig 175 unit with pulser ready to weld, regulator, footpetal, torch, undercarriage wheels. I want to sell both for $1,295.00. I am in Knoxville, TN CAll 865-382-6392 8 am to 6 pm if you are interested.

About two and a half years ago. Pretty good service life for a five and a half year old thread! :p

I still have mine and it works fine........I don't use it as often as I would like though. I built a truck rack about 7 years ago and it still works fine. Just needs a paint job though.
