need some ideas and advice

Howdy all, I am wanting to change the body on my P30 to a standard type cab with a flatbed.But I am wondering just what I need to do for the forward control setup, I am most concerned with the steering.It is a standard now but I am going to go with a auto if I do this, I only drive this truck 15 miles a month now, but if I change it over I might just use it alot more.Ohhh it's my water hauler,I haul 500 gallons on it, but was thinking I could use it alot more to haul other things with the change and sell all the aluminum for the old box body. what do you all think?:help:

im only guessing your trying to turn a "cab over" into a truck wuth a cab and nose?

Correct, A P30 is a forward control cab.Or a Bread type truck, I want to change to a conventional type cab like a chevy pick up cab.Heck if you think this is confusing trying be here where the whole world is a confused state.:dizzy:

well if the steering is the big issue here..

then adapting a rack and pinion from a late model mustang should be no problem....
you will need custom tie rod ends fabbed up though :cry:
