Congratulations all. WeldingWeb has just become the largest online community for welders and welding enthusiasts. And boy do we have a lot of them: 8,275 and counting.

It’s a credit to you, our regular members, who have made this site such a good hangout for technical help, artistic inspiration and plain fun.

To help us celebrate the moment with you, ArcOne (http://www.arc1weldsafe.com/ArcOne%20Home%20Page.html) -- producer of high-quality welding helmets -- has agreed to help us.

Please sign our “congratulations card.” Just reply to this thread. Feel free to make a few comments about WeldingWeb – how you feel about it, how it’s helped you, etc.

When you post, you’re automatically entered to win one of 2 top-of-the-line graphic, auto-darkening helmets from ArcOne. We'll announce the winners in about two weeks.

You have to add to this thread to have a chance at winning. And if you’re one of the many anonymous visitors out there who just like to read, there’s no better time to join the conversation by registering.

Thank you to all of you for making us No. 1. And thank you to ArcOne for helping us celebrate the occasion.

Hey! That's fantastic. We do have a large group of professionals and shade-trees here and have a great time, too, under the new leadership!! I've learned tons just by trying to help, and asking my own questions time and again, too!! Let's keep it up!

Congratulations Welding Web.
I never knew just how much was involved in welding until recently.
I've been welding(!?!) since I was 10 (60 now) with the carbon rod out of a battery and an electric space heater as a voltage dropper!

Well well well, what can I say. Had an...interesting past with welding web. It was the first welding community I joined, then shortly joined many others. Some time a few months later, I went off and started my own, but we can't talk about it here. ;) ) The previous owner didn't like me having a tag line in the signature, so he deleted it. I just thought it was an error, so I put it back, he deleted it, and 'banned the crap outa me'. Other things that you guys might remember happeded shortly after that.

A few months after that, Bob contacted me over on my site, wanting to figure something out with me, and all the members of my site who had been banned. So we came back, thanks to Bob, and now everyone is a happy family again!

Thank you to Welding Web, and their Staff, and Welding Design, and the volunteers (other than TexRedNeck ;) ;) ) (Joking!)

This is kind of like tooting your own horn, HOWEVER congratulations to us all!
This is a very helpful site for me and helps me "Honor the people that helped me, by helping others" In the past, I have worked with small minded people that felt the act of teaching someone something you know somehow "depleted" your available knowledge, well the opposite is certainly true, I gain something every time I help someone.
A similar thing could be said about this site, Bob and his folks have taken a looser control of the reins, and helped us all by building a better place for all.
GREAT JOB!!

This is the most helpful and friendly site I've found for welding information and Welders helping Welders.

The people of this site are what makes it great, but with out the hard work and dedication of the people involved in running it it would be nothing.

My hats OFF to Everybody of the Weldingweb.com Family.

Keep up the good work and helpful information.

Congratulations to all those involved in making this a great site. Im new to welding and ask alot of simple questions and have never been flamed. I now own a mm210 which is my first welder and I made this decision to buy this welder after receiving multiple feedbacks from others. So far a great time on the board.

My name is John Stifter and I am a Tech Teacher in Minnesota. The welding web has been a great place to find answers to many welding related questions. My students use the site to find projects and designs. I appreciate all that you do for education.
