Got my Powermax 45 on monday and my air compressor yesterday. Hooked the air comp up and made some test runs with the pm45. Now I have never used a plasma cutter or ever seen one work. I was tired of cutting metal with my sawzall and bought the pm45. I blazed through some thick angle like hot butter. I will be putting her to work today.

Randy,
Have someone hide most of your metal in your shop....otherwise it will all be plasma cut into small pieces......happens with a lot of new Powermax owners!
Thanks for buying a Hypertherm product from all the employee owners!

Netman make sure you get an additional filter to supply clean dry air. Try the Motorguard line of filters.

I have been using he pm45 to cut aluminum for some fish boxes I am building. I am building four 5'x2'x2' 1/8"alum boxes to live haul catfish. Got one done and now building a center console for my fishing pardners plateboat. I bought a Cobalt air compressor and got the air filter they sell. I am looking to buy another air filter of better quality to add inline right before the pm45. I'm real busy right now fishing and making these boxes/console is wearing me down. I am really happy with my Hypertherm PM45.

Yep sure sounds like your busy. One project I found that can pay back for the new plasma cutter fast is clothes line poles. I have made over a thousand sets of these. http://weldingweb.com/showthread.php?t=26075&highlight=clothes+line
