Thanks,

If you mean the dual mig 151 #6271, check the HF website. It's $200. Print the page and bring it with you and they give you that price. HF also usually has a discount coupon fon the website you can print off. These are good for another 10% or so.

As for the machine, don't hold me to this but I think the tag inside the cover says it'll only weld 5/64" material. You can also check some posts in this forum for more info on the machine.

I have one and it'll weld 1/8" steel (was just welding some today). If you have the money to spend there are definately better welders out there but IMO it's a pretty good starter machine. I'd never welded when I bought it 2 years ago and I was able to get pretty good with it. I've put about 8 spools of steel wire through it and a spool of alumunim (all with gas - haven't used flux core with it). The biggest limitation of the machine IMO is that you can only set 4 different heat ranges - 30/60/90/120a and there are times when you need to be between the settings. I just bought a TA185 for doing my aluminum projects and will use it on some steel but the MIG 151 will still get pulled out for some projects. I was planning on upgrading to a Lincoln SP175+ but with the TIG I will probably just stick with the 151.

I hear ya on the heat settings!! Its either too low or too high! lol
I got the 90amp flux-wire welder
The first one I bought, I plugged it in and it just flashed a huge electrical spark and died, so I had to take it back.
Now I'm on the second one and it has been great.
I love it
I would recommend looking around pawn shops though, I'm sure you could find something decent, just dont pay what the pawn shop is asking!!!

Slow,

I've had a HF Dual-Mig 120 for many years. It welded pretty good, had a strong arc, but this machine has a weakness in the feed control PC board. I had to replace it 2 times, at my own expense, and it went again. I parked the welder and got a Lincoln Weldpak 100. Been happy ever since. I even used this for some light guage aluminum.

I only use the small welder for little things I can't see getting the big welders out for. My other welders are a Miller MM35, a Miller ArcPak 350 - CC/CV for tig and mig with an LN-25 feeder, and a Miller Thunderbolt AC/DC for stick, and a Miller Roughneck 2E gas drive. Welding is a hobby.
