Zap,
Lots of suggestions lately. Obviously it's time for us to do some finetuning all the way around.

Anyone want to weigh in on this specific question?

Thought I read something about information that keeps getting asked over and over again in different threads. Seems we have a lot of newbies here that are greener than grass. How about a forum for welding education?

that is a good suggestion, provided you guys are prepared to help newbies.
seems it bores to many experienced welders
Remember you were green once too.

I'm a car nut maybe a different tact in promoting the forum
If some of you guys are classic car restorers maybe you could focus on that
I would frequent good info on autobody panel, trunk pans, floor, deck welding etc..

I don't think some of us old timers would come here if there wasn't some opportunity to educate the young-uns. After all, even though I think I will, I'm not going to live forever, and someone's gotta start backfilling for when all us old guys need to retire. Education forums can help disseminate information, discound old wives tales, etc. I think everyone would be happy to help.. Or is that just me?

Just a thought, if newbies are green, what color are oldies??????

Yes

What color? I had the same thought when writing above--was going to say grey but that may **** you guys off and no helpie. Actually I'm 43 and know little about welding (computer by trade). Maybe you would care to take a crack at the 2.4% post I have under the general welding forum :pumpkin:

Not getting anywhere with my project--stuck with rivets

Oh I have no welder so all is abstract for me. I know how to braze :blob2:
