Introducing: The MicroTIG 200 Digital

72513

We are pleased to be the first to introduce our portable full synergic 200 amp ACDC TIG welder. This portable unit weighs in at 25lbs and is extremely portable.

Using a WP-17 style tig torch, you are properly air cooled and ready to go. In this video shot by Tim, who does some of our contracted video work, you will see the basic setup, functionality, and some quality welds.

In addition, LONGEVITY and our partner has developed three different style finger trigger control options for this unit and all LONGEVITY TIG Welders for use instead of the foot pedal with either a rotary or linear adjustment for the amps. The unit does not come standard with the foot pedal or finger trigger control at this time, but may be included in our retail price later down the line.

The unit is currently 220v 1phase, but we are planning on launching a dual voltage machine by end of year. The 220v/110v model is still being tested by our RandD group.

You can view the product on our website including the specs:

Here are the 3 different style controls:

Nice to see the torch mounted controls.

I have a CK slider contol that uses velcro to secure it to the Tig torch handle.
I probably use it 30% to 50% of the time in the summer, less in the winter.

For repairs out of position, the handle mounted amp control is nice to have.

The finger trigger controls are a nice addition to the tig torches. Many of our customers have long been asking for these types of controls and we are happy to finally offer them.

They do work well in areas where a pedal is not an option.

When is the dual voltage unit expected to be out? Also, it's a little confusing on your website, but what is the rated duty cycle? Looks to be a winner, though.

Hi

Our R and D group is working on a multi-voltage machine now seen similarly with the Miller MVP system. We should be done by end of November.

Currently, we have a small amount of models that are not yet spoken for arriving late October. We are taking orders for the 220v versions and will not charge the customers until their orders are fulfilled.

The unit is an amazing little welder, and according to our performance team is one of the best made TIG machines we have ever produced.

Give us a call anytime or email sales@longevitywelding.com with your questions or if you like to pre-order.

Thanks,

Simon

I haven't heard any reports from anybody in the field, yet, that has one. I'd love to get one to try, but I'm leaving for China in a few weeks for work.

Currently, we only had our R and D team and Tim Robel, from our welding team test the machine. Tim has had his hands on 2-3 of our TIG models and he keeps stating how he is impressed with this little unit.

It will be at Fabtech 2012 and we will be welding with it! If you are around Chicago, come by and give it a try for yourself! Otherwise, we should have them here shortly as all the preorders will be filled soon.

I thought I would chime in... I not only took this Micro Tig 200 through it paces at the shop, but I took it out to one of my motorcycle trials events at Lucerne valley Ca. I thought I would offer up some free repair work out in the middle of the desert to get what people thought of this little unit. I ended up welding up a spring hanger that a rock tore off on a Jeep YJ. This little unit is AWESOME! It made short work of the repair! No different than welding in the shop only I was using a Longevity generator with this Micro machine 25 miles from nowhere! Needless to say people were impressed!

That video said duty cycle was 50 amps at 40%. Is that correct? Whats the duty cycle at 200amps? I could be having a brain fart here, but that seems extremely low to me. Or was he saying its a 200amp machine, with 50amp input power at 40% meaning 40% at 200 amps?

Hi There,

There is a misprint in the manual. The model is 200A at 40% Duty Cycle at 40 C degrees. So the duty cycle is rated at 40% at the full 200amps and not the 50amps.

Thanks

Sweet little machine!!

Would be great in a shop with too much stuff. Won't take up much room and the boss won't see it sitting there!!
