I can't seem to find anything in the manual for this, and maybe I am just missing it. If you look at the powermax 1250 adjustment knob, you will notice 25, 40 60, and 80 amps marked on it with a few ticks. WHAT DO THE TICKS REPRESENT?!?!? I can't tell if they represent 30, 45, 65 amps, or something else. Can someone please clarify this for me?

The 1250's were all sold with the original 1250 torch that had consumables rated at 40, 60 and 80 amps. That is why the markings were designed as they were. If you upgrade to the Duramax torch....which has cutting processes for 45, 60, 65 and 80 amps.....then for the 45 and 65 amp processes you wil simply have to make an educated guess on the location of the amperage control for these processes. According to our team, the tick markes closely represent 30, 50 and 70 amps......within a few amps. Generally if your setting is within 5 amps then you will not have any issues with your process performance.

Thanks Jim! I have been guessing for a while, but those tick marks were driving me crazy... couldn't figure out any pattern to them. :)
