What spray paint do you guys use to match the Lincoln red? I'm building a cart for my welder and want the paint to match. Thanks.

I found a company that does this...probably not as cheap as krylon though (10 bucks a can). http://www.industrialtouchup.com/ They have the lincoln welder grey listed on their page, but i imagine they also have red.

Without going to all the trouble of trying to find Lincoln red, why not use black? Aren't Lincolns red & black?

I used Hammered black on my welding cart. It matches with the Red very nicely.

might want to check out your local auto parts store.they should carry high heat paint,i've found about 4 or 5 different reds.chevy red, ford red, chrysler red,and industial red.i bought chrysler red, seemed pretty close, but i'm color blind so chose the one you think is best.

The bright red at Tractor Supply Co. matches pretty good.

email lincoln for the paint number and have Oreillys match it, most were auto paints anyway.

Hey Im a little interested also....

The other day I rested the gun of my Lincoln MIG 100T on top of the machine real quick while I did some grinding and didnt notice or hear that the gun was shooting out wire. The wire eventually curled around and started arcing on the side panel (the side that opens) and left burn marks on the paint. I was thinking maybe I could order a new panel from Lincoln or just make a new one out of sheet metal. Does Lincoln sell new panels?

Thanks

I was going to say just paint it black.

...or come to the dark side and paint it blue!

You could be really unique and paint it red, white and blue. ;) I have yet to see an American flag cart.

I would paint mine American Flag, red, white and blue if Lincoln would give me a welding hood to match. All the nices ones I found say MILLER on em....bastards.

Why don't you make one of these to prevent that happening? I made this out of mild steel brazed together. No more unwanted MIG wire when I set the gun down.

Why didn't Lincoln make it on there in the first place? I like that idea. You did a nice job with it. Looks like you can still fit a gloved hand in there too. Good call.
