hi all
i just bought a dc inverter welder. it came with a tig torch, which is great. my problem is i dont know how to hook it up. there is a push and twist connector on it, with a gas hose coming off it. also two wires that come from the switch. if somebody could tell me how to hook these wires up to my little inverter, i would be truly greatfull.
thanks for your time

My inverter has small dinse connectors. I have a 1 piece air cooled weldcraft torch with a gas valve hooked to it. The adapter for the torch cable has a large dinse and gas line the that comes in from the side. I had to get a cable to go from large to small so i could use the torch on both my little invertor and my arc welder.

I don't have any wires, they might be for a remote foot pedal.

Can you post a picture. This would really help out, or give a make and model number so we can look it up, or someone might know right off hand.

Courtesy of Lanmanb4, I just got off the Weldcraft web site (www.weldcraft.com) where I found a PDF file showing TIG torch setup for air and water cooled torches. Except for specific connector types, basic setup is the same for various torches. Try your local welding supply store for whatever adapters you need to connect your torch to your welder.

I won't even bother. Why would you ask this question and not tell us the brand/model of the machine? And wouldn't this be in the owner's manual? If you bought it used, the manufacturer may have a manual on their website, or will mail one to you, usually free.
