View Full Version : Will pure tungsten hurt inverter machines?

In my owners manual (Dynasty) it says pure tungsten in not recommended for inverter machines. Why is this? I tried both 2% and pure and they both weld the same on aluminum. I like the pure better because you don't have to sharpen it.

It won't hurt it. I seem to recall some advantage on the high end inverters with not using it but forgot what it was. :confused:

I use pure on my TA 185 and it doesn't seem to be any problem.. execpt I don't like the big puddles it makes...
