Anyone out there have a fabricator 251 wire feed machine and have or had wire feed problems? Just about the time my warranty expired I went from being able to almost weld beer cans together up to almost 1/2 thick carbon with baby butt smooth beads to a 20 second or more delay after pulling the trigger to get wire to feed and erratic wire feed after 10 to 15 seconds of continuous welding after it decides to get going.

Took it to a repair facility after hearing some chatter on 'defective cards' but was told my unit checked out and some 'pods' were tweaked to remidy the problem. Worked like a champ for a few months now its back to its bad behavior.

Didn't know if anyone had a similar issue. Wasn't impressed with service after the sale when I was chasing down a resolution the first time from the manufacturer.

Anybody? Thinking about calling it retired and just buying a new Lincoln equivalent.

Thanks ~

You should have posted in the board at the bottom ( other manufactures).
Seen several units that stopped feeding wire because the plug on the pc board lost contact.
One socket in the plug looses contact and heats up. You will find it by looking for a melted spot on the plug. look real hard at the 3rd or 4th socket down from the top.
Look at the diagram pasted on the cover. Look for the 30 volt power into the pcb.

Zap move this to the right room.
