I know that this has probably been asked a billion times before. I'm seriously leaning toward the SYNCROWAVE 200. I would just like to get any valuable input (good or bad)from you guys that have had experience with this machine that's pertinent to what I want to do.

The type of welding for the most part will be .065 to .125 wall mild steel round tubing as well as .188 to .25 tabs and brackets that will be attached to the tubing and some occasional aluminum .188 max. Weld strength, bead appearance and size is important to the type of work I want do with this unit(limited production custom bicycle frame fabrication) and I know that this is mostly attributed to operator skill and technique.

I just want to make sure that this machine will handle my needs for ease of use, arc control, reliability, versatility Etc.. Thanks in advance for your advice!:cool2:

The synch 200 would be a good choice. You might want to take a look at the TA ARCMASTER 185. I have the older version the TA185 Pro Wave. IT's well laid out control panel is extremely easy to set up and use. The synch has some hidden menu functions but should be fairly easy ti figure out. The TA inverter will let you adjust the frequency of the ac arc which is an advantage when doing aluminum. The ta comes with a quick start guide which will have you welding in just a few minutes.

Here is a link to the TA at IOC. They show the Pro-wave version but I think they are now shipping the newer Arcmaster. The Arcmaster has 5 memory presets that the Prowave didn,t.

Just noticed you are in Canada. For some reason the TA wasn't approved for Canada. A gentleman that goes by the Handle of Conrad Turbo over on the Hobart forum had one shipped to a friend in the States and picked it up there when on vacation. The new Arcmaster may have Canadian approval. If it does then that won't be an issue.
