Hi there, there's a blatant contradiction between online stores' marketing claims and the claims of lincoln themselves in regards to the thickness of material the SP135T welder can handle. Lincoln says it can weld up to 14ga (.075) steel on MIG mode and all of the online stores and ebay auctions say it can do up to 3/16" (.1875) steel with MIG.
I purchased mine hoping it could do at least 1/8". So my questions is this : What settings do users of the SP135T use out there to weld 1/8" steel?
"Voltage Tap" options : A - D
Wire Speed options : 1-10
On the lincoln chart it recommends D-7 for 14ga when using an argon mix gas, which I'm doing.
Any levity in this situation would be very welcome.
