I have a millermatic 135 Mig welder that has bad relays on the control board. Does anyoine know where I can purchase these relays short of buying a whole new control board from miller. Relay part #'s are nt90rhcs24cb. These relays are bad and not always making good contact which keeps my gas solenoid from working.

Thanks

You'd best contact miller on this one. About half the time the numbers you pick off parts like that are not the common part number but rather proprietory part numbers specifically for the end manufacturer. By that I mean it might very well be a common off the shelf relay but you'll never find it with those numbers.

Another common issue is that the relay may not have been the root cause. Perhaps an ultra tiny carbon resistor changed values or who knows what changed the input voltage enough to cause arcing in the relay and eventually it did fail. A change in the power supply maybe. Even a visually imperceptible cold solder joint can cause these things. Just replacing the relay(s) without knowing the real cause could easily cost more in the long run.

There's a whole nickles worth for ya. :waving:

If they are bad like you say they are I would suggest making an account with http://www.alliedelec.com/ I get relays and stuff from them CHEEP. I{ dont see them on the site so I am assuming the # you are giving is a OEM number. Miller is EASY to deal with if there is a problem just ask them. If not get me the # off the Relay itself and I will give you a source to get it from. You just have to know what voltage they are, if they are N/O or N/C and such. Most are not more than 3 bucks each

When my MM135 lost its board, I learned a few things from them. Miller has about three board for the MM135. All were made by different vendors to their specs. Some are servicible, some aren't. Those that aren't are from obsolete boards. Mine was one of those. It was replaced under warranty with the current board. The one $0.35 part was no longer available. Got a whole new board for that one part.

If it under warranty, let them replace it. If not, may be easier to change the part out if that is the trouble. Those boards are expensive. Mine was about $350.

The MM 135/175 machines seem to be all boards when you open them up.
Look at the Hobart version, and you will see why I like them much better.
Lets see???, Tiny cheap boards and easy to dial-in, what a concept!!
Plus they weld better. I don't really need to tell you that Don.
