Got a 100%, I guessed at #1. Why people got to ruin the quiz by giving the answers? That's no fun.
TozziWelding

Well I don't use an auto dark helmet anyway, so it is all null and void.

I've deleted the message that gave the answers to the Pop Quiz.
The process here is that everyone who takes it gets entered for prizes. So while I'm sorry if someone ruined the fun by providing the answers, it doesn't affect the prize selection.

60 here, don't know which ones I got wrong cause the test doesn't tell you, kinda takes the interest away from trying again. Good idea, though. Should make more of these and up them to say 15-20 questions, mix it up on the subject matter too. My vote is one every couple of weeks or once a month, on a particular subject. Oxy Cutting, Mig aluminum, safety prceedures, oxy welding, math, stick, even fabricating and rod selection; could be a lot of fun. And make it more fun by giving you which ones you flunked out on at the end of the test. Like to see more of these! ('Course if you could throw in a little goodie for a winner would that be nice too...)
If there is no one available to devote the time to making up the questions, I'll wager you would see some volunteers here to put them together so someone could just review them and make the post.

80% here too. I just started looking into prices and types because I'm considering asking for one for Xmas present. Anyone have any thoughts or knowledge on which brand? I'm looking at either the Millermatic Elite or Hobart XLPi (?). Somewhere around the $200 to $300 range.
I had laser surgery done some years back and I figure that's cheap insurance for my eyes.

I got 100... Not that the score really matters. Looking forward to the safety glasses and a chance to win the welding helmet. I'm not, however looking forward to all the new spam and junkmail that I'm going to receive now that I gave someone else my email and home address. I guess nothing in life is free though... Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Well look what I found sitting on my porch last night. Thanks WeldingWeb and Jackson. This helmet blows away the HF one that I've been using. I've not posted much cause I'm still learning and practicing what I read on here. Well I guess now when people ask for recommendations on what brand of helmet to get I can throw my 2 cents in. By the way I'm smiling in the pic.:D

I got mine... In Canada no less! I don't use them but they were a hit with the guy I gave them to at work today. The foreman suffered though. The shop supplied ones are cheap don't last as well as being uncomfortable. My workmate made sure the foreman saw what a decent pair of safety glasses looked like.

Am I the only one who got an odd-numbered score? Scored a 67, and it told me I was "a little rusty".
ha! I'd say more than a little!
But since I'm so filthy rich, I'll just buy the company and give all of you free NextGen HaloX hoods, how's that?
