Hello everyone!
Does anybody has an experience with portable welding fume extractors, like Lincoln Miniflex?

I was considering renting one from my local Welding Center. I understand that it filters smoke and fumes, but how about shielding gas like Argon and CO2, etc.? Do those fume extractors really filter the air, or you still have to open doors and windows?
I was thinking of making some kind of exhaust fan to outside of my garage (HB sells blower fans for $80), but I don't want my neighbors to smell the fumes and start complaining. Plus here in Illinois we have quite cold winters for working with opened doors and windows.
What are your thoughts?
Any input would be appreciated.:)
