recently I purchased a lincoln pro cut 55. I also have a pro cut 25. The 25 works great, but I'm having trouble with the 55. It was used when I bought it. When I recieved it I put in the new electrode and nozzle, however, it won't cut any steel. I tried it on 14 guage steel and all it would do is flame at the end and not cut. I put on another ground because the one that came with it was bent up. It's almost like when it initially sparks it is really week. I can feel my pro cut 25 spark and it starts cutting right away. The pro cut 55 spark is extremely week. Any suggestions?

If your ground is good you can check:
Is the amperage adjustement is working, it may be stuck at the minimum.
Is the relay of the high frequency works properly, does it make the arc really start.
Check if your gas flow/pressure is alright.
:) ask why the previous owner sold it :)

When I recieved it, I replaced the ground with a new one. The flow and pressure are at 75 lbs. When it sparks at the nozzle it seems really week compaired to my pro-cut 25. It also burns up new nozzles just from sparking (trying to get it to cut).
