hey guys , i just got an airco heliwelder 300 amperes machine, cam with tig torch , cables , water tank .. looks to be in good condition ,guy i bought it from had it working , and he set up it for 220v for me , i pluged it in and fan turned on etc , i turned the thumb wheel and it ran for about 10 seconds and tripped my breaker , my breaker is 30 amps , so i guess i need to upgrade that to i assume 50 amps , i have 200 amp service in my shop
now my big question , this has a few dials and things and i dont wanna mess it up , so if i take some up close pics of it would you guys help give me a base line as to where to start with chromemoly wleding and then aluminum welding ?
i wont be able to get pics to you guys for a few days .. but if anyone has maybe some info that would be great also...

ok here are some pics of the machine , it works pretty good .. after using that darn buzz box add on and scratch starting this is pretty cool , and easy to use
the main question i have is when doing aluminum there is dcsp dcrp and ac ...which setting do i use for doing chrome moly , i used it on dcsp and it worked good , i want to try it on aluminum , which setting ?
also the high freq ., it has start off and continus... where should i leave that and what is the differnece on the 3 settings
on the 2 knobs on top it has start current and weld current , what does this mean ? and also the 2 knobs how do they work together
i think thats all the questions i have right now , i hope you guys can give me some input on this machine , and also the pateince for dealing with me as im new to the bigger machines thanks ted
