What sort of water pump or cover is this?
This engine is for sale. $200.
Looking at the front of the engine it doesn't look like any F162 or F163 I have seen.
Can this be used in a welder? Have to change something out?

Water pump isn't there. Looks like the front cover used on the F163 in Clark fork trucks. The hydraulic pump drives off the extended portion and they also use a distributor rather than a mag.

Thanks for the response Duane.
So can I just get rid of this cover and replace it with the right one?
I haven't bought it yet.
I offered $150 for it, haven't heard from the seller yet.

It's going to lack the oil fill required for use on a Lincoln (or Miller) as the block isn't machined for it. I gave $100 for a complete running unit so I probably wouldn't give more than $25 for that one and that's if I needed something off of it.

I agree with Duane. Look for the correct engine and it will save you money, unless you can get this one cheap. Someone gave me a forklift engine recently; I took the oil pan off and it's in good condition, the crank had been turned though. It won't fit my welder for the reasons Duane said.

I'm going to keep looking for one.
