Viewing attachments when not signed in...

Why do you have this forum set up so a visitor has to be a member and signed in to view thread attachments?

I do enjoy the content at WeldingWeb, but I also spend some time at:
www.shopfloortalk.com/forums & www.hobartwelders.com/mboard.

Both of those forums allow visitors (members or not) to be able to view thread attachments without having to sign in. It makes those forums more user friendly.

Honest answer is that's how it was set up when the keys were handed to us, and nobody has brought it up until now.

And while your at it..
Is there any way to have signatures "uploaded" from your own computer?

I use the same sig on another site and i just took it from my own computer..

But here it has to come from a http site and that means relying on others and their generosity...:angry:

Any ideas??
