I just bought a used Lincoln Powermig 255 and the gun is in rough shape. The gun has a sticker with the following numbers: L8326-9, 101992. It looks to be a Magnum 250L gun. Is this the same as a Tweco #2 gun? Will it accept Tweco consumables? What would be the best replacement gun to get? I have searched Google and Weldingweb for the past hour with no good results.

Guns can look pretty rough and still work plenty fine.

Tweco #2/4 back-end with Miller style 4 pin contactor plug.

I just picked up another Binzel for $110 off of e-bay. 15 ft on this one with a euro back-end. Takes Tweco #11 tips. along with the Metric M6 tips.. I really like the front-end on this gun. The handle, and cable with the ball, and socket setup, makes for a really flexible 250 amp gun.

I would probably look for a 12ft gun, if the length is enough for you.

Scott,

That'll make a perfect B-day present for me next month.:D:D Wish it would have been in a 10' or 12' length though, because I already have the factory 15' gun for whenever I really need the additional length.

Is the cable on this model of Binzel as flexible as the cable is on the Alpha series?

More so. It's the best Binzel yet. Although, I am happy with my Alpha 2 setup.

+1 on the Abicor Binzel. I have the Alpha 2, much lighter and more flexible than the Lincoln but still plenty rugged. I checked out the new ones at Fabtech, amazingly light but I'm not sure how they'd hold up under heavy use.

That's a good looking gun. Are you able to find the consumables locally?

Tweco #11 fits, so that means the most common of all. I have tons anyway of Binzel and Tweco stuff. I have a new Lincoln gun pro gun, and it only takes Lincoln consumables. Everything is available on-line, so not a issue like it use to be.

I ended up getting a Profax gun from Harris. I could not find a good price on a Binzel gun. BTW, here is a good price on a 10' Binzel gun, similar to the one BrandX has:

I was trying to get that one for $80.00 but looks like it took $100.00:laugh:
It's a Miller back-end on that one, but I have a Tweco-Hobart adapter that threads right in.
It would of worked perfect on your Lincoln, but is going on my Lincoln feeder now.. :D
I bought my 15 ft. gun from this guy, and had it in a couple of days. The Lincoln Pro 250
amp gun he has, is a good price too.The Binzel here, looks like the threaded nozzle setup,
but I have those extra. I am sending my 15 ft alpha #2 down the road with a welding package
I am selling. I really don't need another 15ft gun.

Dang, I wish I would have known that it fit. Oh well, I am sure the Profax will work fine.
