I just got home from a long ride on a treasure hunt. I only got lost twice and it was a thirty five minuite ride there when I finely found this place way out in the sticks this good old boy comes out and hands me three five gallon buckets full of horseshoes now I'm heading out into my shop to try my second try at some neat little horseshoe art projects I'll post some pics soon

It's a cowboy warming his hands in front of the fire. Or maybe some of us younger weldors paying homage to the old heads!

Sure looks like a cowboy to me, but I can't tell what it's made out of. I had a buddy who used to go to a swap meet / flea market and make little figures out of horse shoe nails and used a OA torch and brazed em together.

Rocky, I'll deferr to your years of expertise in the arena of shoeing horses & mules, after all theArmy did teach you that part of the business, and I've heard you single handedly are responsible for long wearing shoes onGeorge Washington's horse, or was that his false teeth.

It was the shoes....Washington's teeth were made of wood, certainly you must remember that, Franz.

Looks more like a soldier warming his hands to me. And the material appears to be mule shoes rather than horse shoes?

Remember the three things you have to know to be a Cowboy.
1. Don't spit into the wind
2. Don't drink downstream from the herd
and
3. Don't squat with your spurs on:D

Rocky D,
Used 1x 1/8 inch angle frame for the legs to conect to the wood. Top of legs on the side view is11, bottom is 15. Seat is 16 inches high. Top is 22.5 x 12. Rebar is 7/8. The 3 shoes came to 13.25 inches and I welded them together first.

That's interesting...I thought it was taller, from the pictures. As suggestion, maybe put something in the picture we can use to judge as a comparison, like a dollar bill or coke can, or dog, or the like. Real nice job!

I wouldn't touch that line with a 14 foot Serbian, let alone a 10 foot Pole.

I recently went to a wedding in a back yard where they had the altar(?) made out of horse shoes. Cool, but interesting as well...
