I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this old Hobart wire feed. On the spec tag it says model AGH-27. I dont know when it was made. I have been using it hooked up to a stick welder. The problem is that a stick welder does not have a contactor and the wire electrode remains "hot". I need to figure out a way to make the electrode "cold" until the trigger is pulled. Miller has a secondary contactor that I am told will work, but that part is $510. That seems crazy to me. Any help would be great.
