I can say that I think we have all done that.
My best burn ever was actually from nitrous oxide. That little bump turned into a large blister covering the entire top of my thumb. Also got the next finger over!

Zap - are you saying, you wouldn't recommend touching stuff when it's hot or are you saying you wouldn't recommend touching stuff between 160F and 1,000F? I can also convert that over to Celsius if it's more convenient?
OR...are you saying we should touch anything below 0F and -60F for an instantaneous freeze burn while touching something at < 160F ?
Please be specific!

Ouch.
How did you manage that? Was there a hole in the glove? If you'd grow some callous that wouldn't happen:D .(that was in fun, so dont get all riled up)

Haet shrinking a sleeve on a journal...
The gloves that were supposed to be for this procedure were a little worn out...
The glove material actually stuck to the burn spot..
The glove got flung hi into the air...The sleeve only went half way on...
Than it was time to turn the sleeve off and
"take two"...
I get all the fun jobs...

It must be your shop-- I burned my left pinky there on some hot aluminum during your class last month- but surprisingly it did not blister. Does aluminum burn skin differently than steel?? or maybe I didn't press it hard enough???

I just "screwed" my new Tillman gloves yesterday. Dang leather shrank and gave it up. Got a slight burn before I could rip that glove off! Luckily enough its nowhere near that!

i was getting finger printed one time for whatever reason, and the girl doing it was like "whats wrong with your fingers". right in the middle of the prints there were all these marks and circles. i laughed and told her those were burns from carbon arc gouging. she was calling everyone else over to look at them.
