I just posted a reply to your first thread.

I have not seen anything from Continental for dating motors. You could try an e-mail to
    http://www.wisconsinmotors.com/
They now have the rights to continental.

According to this list 63021 would be 1970. That doesn't sound right for a F162 to me unless one of the last ones ? You might also try Montes Equipment with the engine numbers.

That sounds more correct from the pics you had of it.

It says in the Continental L head engine manual in front section if you have ever read it that the series or type numbers were sometimes given to a certain group of engines & other times they mean nothing. lol That seems to be true more times than not with any number list I've seen for Continental engines.

The red paint and Massy manifold should have been a dead giveaway though!LOL

Yeah red paint on it makes even more sense lol. The Continental F162, F163 were used in many other industrial & ag applications over the years. The new manifold you can get for those Continental engines today is listed by tractor parts suppliers as fitting a Massey Harris 22, 30, 81 & 101 Jr. tractors & fits other size Cont engines as well. I forgot about swathers using all brands of engines too. Your engine might be a transplant out of something else just had mounting plate & flywheel changed if needed.
