Here are some funnels I got to throw in the cheater machine. Started using 4pps and moved to 5.5pps later on, eventually I'll dial in my settings and increase my pulse freq. to create a ripple free weld.

Found a way to have fun throwing away all of that film I get to peel off of parts.

I rarely get to weld alum, so took home some scraps and made dice.

After passing through said material it will be measured for penetration in balistic gelatin and analized for other varies reason by the agency that hired me to build it.

No need to commission that. They could have just watched Mythbusters. They did a "shooting through walls" episode.

That's a nice build Gar. Your description does leave me wondering if they are making sure a frangible round would not endanger neighbors. Or are they making sure that it WILL take out the guy hiding in the closet? We'll never know.

Was replacing customer 1 ton u-joint and he also wanted his 2-1/2" to 2" reducer pulled out - rusted in.

Hooked the slide hammer to it and promptly broke the hook tip off...

Little 309 rod, built up new hook with weld metal, small amount of grinder shaping - back to work

It ended up not moving far before I got irritated and used the air chipping hammer to pound it out from the rear. Then I just cut off the deformed 1/4" off the end.

(also welded a receiving cup for my u-joint press but forgot to take a pic)

Nothing fancy or pretty to look at but very usefull none the less. I made this round stock drilling jig out of necessity using scraps and a disk brake rotor. I still need to get some bolts and nuts to complete the jig. I am still pondering using a ratcheting strap to secure materials. It's a work in progress.

Thank you tap. I got lucky and thought it up through dumb luck. Had the rotors sitting on the drill press when it dawned on me. I like how it has a nice round flat surface that moves very easy on the press table.

Some process piping today. I am by no means an expert but I am pleased with how it turned out.
