    Welded a 2" bore hub into an 81x conveyor chain sprocket. 309/L.

    LOL, I must have little faith in my welds seeing I only put the weight of one leg on the patch!!!!!




    Patch in the floor of an old tanker that had been used for crude hauling. The oil here is very corrosive (H2S gas is high) so as soon as the coating/lining is compromised the alum corrodes very quickly.

    Very expensive to repair and recertify for service; so they sell at auction at a decent price. A few repairs and it's fit for water hauling duty.

    GXBXC- The metal parts were crushed with a machine called an "Alligator" It is a tracked vehicle with articulate arm and pincher jaws.
    It can exert 200 tons of force on the material.
    It crushed same water pipe that was 1/4 inch thick and cut into sections. I ,made a life size figure with the scraps.
