gonna need a whole lot more info. Balling up the tungsten says something is wrong. Do you have the leads in the right connections? What filler? what tungsten?

stainless needs to be very very clean. After that I would start with simple no pulse, about 50 amps and a foot pedal so you can modulate since you'll likely need less.

That darn cover really annoyed me so I made my own out of aluminum and I can change the plexiglass whenever it gets scratched. Just like a helmet.

It works really good. I should have made a few while I had the program but it was a “government job” while I was working.

    sorry i meant filler rod - 2% lathanated 1/16 - 308L rod - DCEN - 12cup

I am still getting my feet wet but i tried anywhere between 60-25amp with about 25ch on a lap joint? the tubing fit inside each other. I was getting greying so i turned a down a few. Cleaned the tungsten, rods and tube with acetone. Since they fit inside each other, the top was heating before the inside tube so i angled it towards that one to start the puddle. I was told to try and get 10-12 dab per inch, ended up with a some bird poo at the end of this. lol

You've got to have a lot of experience to weld .050 SS with 1/16 filler rod. It takes more heat to melt the filler rod than the base metal.

Try .045 or .035 filler wire (tig or a small mig spool).

Re: AHP Owners/Users Thread. No Trolling unless you have used/own one!

Just ordered one for Christmas off Amazon. Hard to beat the price right now. Mostly going to use it for small aluminum weekend projects. Anybody know of a good thread for doing the "plumbing" for multiple bottles. I would like to use my 75/25, and 100%Argon for both my Mig and Tig machines, but I don't want to buy 4 bottles. I was hoping to find some kind of quick connect T valve or something like an Air compressor but I haven't found anything really good. Closest I've found is "This Old Tony"'s latest video on his welding cart where he mentions it shows what he calls a Y valve from McMasterCarr but doesn't give a really good overview of the "plumbing". I asked in the comments but don't expect a reply from a YouTube celebrity Otherwise it's back to Googulizing the interwebs.

Update - I found a Y valve online but I was really hoping for a Ball valve so that only one gas could be selected at a time to prevent forgetful mistakes. Back to the Googles!

I would like to get a 160 for my garage (have dedicated 120 line for tiny welder), but sold out!

Maybe just measure the piece and order some stock cut to size?

I'd be down for one as long as the price wasn't astronomical.

I've got plenty of poly sheet so I could cut my own lens

    Seriously nice work!

I would make you one but I moved and changed jobs. I don’t have the unlimited access to a CNC Milling machine I once did. The ones around my new job are setup and running defense and aerospace parts to keep America safe!
