    Finished Upright Barrel BBQ

Just finished My hanging meat bbq. Uses 10 -12Ibs of briquettes, and you hang the meat on the top bars with hooks. We used 4 barrels for a crew bbq at work. Cooked 2 cases of pork ribs from Costco in about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs., 10 to 12 sides of ribs to a barrel.

Also you use the middle bars to set a grill grate to catch any meat that falls, does not happen all that often. Use the upper of the two middle holes to bbq a turkey in a tray. Bottom holes are vent holes. Total cost was around $20.00, Barrel free, disc free, Rebar $8.00, Paint $12.00, hooks free

So it's not carpet but a lift? Let's see a bit more of that garage/shed/shop, Ratdawg.

Ratdawg I forgot to ask you how does it cook?. what did you make your plate from?

RubenZ I make them to what customers want, and out here in the west with dry conditions and a total fire ban for a big part of our Summer propane seems to be the go.

I am however soon going to make one for myself and will make it able to be either propane or wood.

I have checked out a few US BBQ sites and boy you guys take your pits serious if I could build one half as good as some I have seen I will be cook'n.

welder. man I will let you know how it cooks tomorrow when I try it out. I have had chicken, ribs, and Tri Tip from them before, and they have all cooked very well. Also I used an old disc blade off a disc harrow like the one below.

Sorry zapster, and jakkyl I have two garages, One to park the truck in and for the pool table. The other one my father built so we would have a place to tinker in when he retires.
